Cool Weather Cowl

Here in Virginia, our winters are usually very mild.  This one is no exception.  Still I was in the mood for a cowl, and being the type of person I am, I was in the mood to design and knit it myself.  I modified a lace pattern from another project to make this scrumptious cowl which is knit in the round.  It measures 7″ high by 30″ in circumference.  It has a nice drape, as a cowl should.  This cowl incorporates the ribbing into the lacework giving it a cohesive look.

I just couldn’t wait for the New Year to knock an item off my list, could I?  Well, I consider this pattern a work in process.  Any suggestions on how to improve it are most welcome!

  1. Nice! I’m impressed that you both wrote the narrative and charted your pattern! I think I need to make one too. I will have to check the stash and see if it can fit into my stash busting endeavor.
